Amy Shackleton

Amy Shackleton paints urban landscapes with gravity. She applies the paint with squeeze bottles and rotates her canvas to guide each drip as it falls down the stretched surface.

She is graduate from York University’s BFA program. At only 25, she has exhibited paintings in New York, London, Toronto, Montreal and Calgary. Shackleton was a finalist in the 2010 Signature Art Awards at Degree Art Gallery in London and nominated for the 2010 and 2011 Palm Art Award in Germany. More recently, her work was selected for purchase by the Colart Collection in Montreal. Shackleton currently paints full time in her studio in Toronto. She is represented by the Elaine Fleck Gallery in Toronto and the Gerry Thomas Gallery in Calgary.
